Technical Accounting Manager - great opportunity for Big 4 auditor to grow into industry!

This position will report to the Corporate Controller and be responsible for technical accounting issues, policies and procedures, finance special projects, SOX compliance, and supporting external financial reporting. This would be a great position for a big four candidate to transition into private industry.

Job
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Research accounting and financial reporting requirements, recommend accounting treatment for transactions based on such
Research accounting and financial reporting requirements, recommend accounting treatment for transactions based on such research and document the recommendation.
Lead or assist in the completion of special projects including working on potential acquisitions and the integration of acquired companies.
Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings
Assist with the management and execution of company's Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance program.
Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures manual; monitor consistent application across company
Monitor and ensure timely identification of and compliance with new accounting guidance, provide GAAP interpretation and document company's conclusion.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills and education:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting and a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience
CPA required
Big four public accounting experience (4
years) a must
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong writing skills
Problem solving skills
Organized, detail-oriented and thoroughEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
