Experienced paralegal sought for fast-paced, exciting work environment. This position participates as a team member in the Real Estate practice group for real estate and financing transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate or appropriate job-related experience required
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a commercial real estate paralegal with finance experience
- Minimum 2 years' title and survey experience
- Knowledge of and experience with partnership interest transfers in Section 42 partnerships a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional drafting, proof-reading and communication skills, with using computer-assisted legal resources.
- Ability to work independently, plan and take initiative to accomplish objectives in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Must be a team player while effectively and efficiently using firm resources
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate title, survey, and title commitments
- Review partnership agreements and draft interest transfer documents
- Prepare closing binders and follow up on an extensive array of post-closing matters
- Perform due diligence, coordinate and implement transactions and work with team to close commercial real estate transactions (debt and equity)
- Work with vendors to order various due diligence certificates and searches
- Work directly with the title companies to finalize title policies for transactions
- Conduct research and gather information using general and legal research tools
- Use project management tools and techniques to assist with work plans, budgeting and tracking
- Other responsibilities as client needs dictate

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
