PayPal, Inc., an eBay company seeks, Software Engineer 3 in Boston, Massachusetts.
JOB DUTIES: Code and develop next generation PayPal Offers tools and applications. Develop new features to be incorporated into the critical Metro/MetroFM program, work on integrating other projects dependent on the Offers and Wallet infrastructure, define and implement new system architecture and assist Offer Providers to adjust their systems to comply to PayPals communities standards and practices. Design code and implement new design principles to improve the component applications that make up proprietary Metro/MetroFM applications. Review code and develop solutions to resolve flaws in the boarding of new Providers to PayPal Offers Networks system. Monitor performance of systems and refactor existing systems to meet business needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) year of experience as a software engineer/developer or programmer analyst OR Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a software engineer/developer or programmer analyst.
SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENT: Experience must include the following: NoSQL DBMS; database design; transactional messaging systems; agile principles in software development, test-driven development, release cycle process; software agile practices, lean agile practices; pair programming and code reviews, analysis, design, coding, and testing of applications; Java; Web applications development using tools such as: JSP, Spring MVC Framework, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
