The Information Security Consultant supports components of an overall enterprise security program and architecture that minimizes information-related loss, with empasis on activities that build and support an ISO 27001- compliant Information Security Managemtn System (ISMS)
You will help create and revise ISO 27001- compliant security policies and administer an annual review cycle of the same.
Assisting with tasks related to a first-time ISO 27001 certification effort. Emphasis on implementing first time auditing and verification activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilites:
Join an ISO 27001 certification effort already in progress, executing on tasks and initiatives already identified.
Create or revise written security policies required for successful certification.
Identify and recommend new auditing and workflow procedures required to test key security controls, as required by ISO 27001.
Conduct new daily or weekly information security auditing tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with the ISO 27001 security standard as an auditor or practitioner
Managerial experience running an information security program
Excellent writing skills
Enterprise business knowledge
Experience preparing spreadsheets and documents using Microsoft Excel and Word
Knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across major computer platforms required
Collaboratino skills are required
Proven interpersonal and communication skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
