We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking a Systems Architect on a Full Time direct employee basis. In this role, the Architect will:
Oversee and shape a service-oriented platform;
Transorm high-level architectural plans into actionable blueprints;
Articulate and communicate complex ideas and coordinate multiple concurrent projects is a distributed systems and service-oriented architectural environment;
Plan available, reliable, fault-tolerant architectures;
Perform infrastructure performance analysis and tuning;
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Systems architecture for service-orientated/distributed systems for the shipping of high-quality, well-tested applications in a consumer-facing environment;
Ruby/Rails or similar MVC frameworks;
UNIX development and/or administration at the command line level;
Knowledge of two or more of: Redis, Memcached, MySQL, Postgres or MongoDb;
Architecture or development in Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript environments related to building and delivering scalable, rich web applications;
Rest-based API's and services;
Object Oriented environments;
Test Driven development environments;
