The Finance Department is seeking applicants with office experience, demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint, facility with social media, strong organizational skills, ability to successfully complete projects from multiple streams, strong customer service orientation, ability to handle administrative support and coordination of activities for the department.
Specific duties include coordinating and projecting course schedules and staffing; providing a wide range of administrative support to faculty including organizing and documenting the faculty hiring process; assisting students with questions and referring to appropriate sources for advising; supervising work study students, managing time sheets and payroll administration for all department student employees, graduate and undergraduate; organizing department events.

Requirements:
1. At least three years' experience in a secretarial, office or administrative support role or equivalent in experience and education.
2. Microsoft Office, strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular. Ability to learn new software such as the University student database system.
3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
4. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, ability to problem solve.
5. Good written and oral communication skills.
6. Have or acquire a good understanding of SBS policies and procedures.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
