Serve as primary contact person for the Simmons College Counseling Center, which provides mental health treatment, crisis intervention, referral, outreach and consultation to undergraduate and graduate students. Respond via phone, email, and in person to requests for care from students, as well as inquiries from parents, Simmons staff and faulty, and outside health care providers. Responsible for day-to-day operations of Counseling Center and for providing administrative support for the Director, other staff members, and interns.
Essential Functions Include:
1. Serve as the first contact (the face or mission control) of the Counseling Center when students contact us for services and when parents, staff, and faculty reach out for consultation and information.
2. Manage the day-to day administrative aspects of the Counseling Center and offer creative ideas and solutions to enhance the administrative functioning of the Center
3. Provide administrative support to the Director and other clinical staff
4. Provide training and support to 6-7 clinical interns
5. Represent the Counseling Center and participate in Outreach Activities
Professionalism, diplomacy, calm, warmth, and sensitivity to students with mental health struggles as well as the ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality are essential in this position.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of one year work experience working in college/higher education and/or at a medical or mental health clinic; interest in mental health care preferred.
Basic web development skills required, Intermediate spreadsheets and database skills required, Advanced word processing, office applications, scheduling/organizing skills required.
This is a 10 month position, 35 hours per week. Required to be on Campus Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
