Teaching Position Summary A teacher at Alexander Twilight Academy's Summer Leadership Program will be responsible for instructing rising 6th graders, 7th graders, 8th, and/or 9th graders in discussion-based/student-centered ELA classes as well as serving as an advisor, and teaching an elective of their choosing.
Teachers will work with the Head and Assistant Head of ATA, other teachers, and staff to create a welcoming, academically challenging, and engaging environment for all students in the program.

Commitment to collaborating with others Responsibilities ? Lead 2-4 classes of approximately 15 students daily ? Lead a weekly elective ? Create a unit plan and one-page syllabus/course overview due prior to the start of the Summer Program (date due:
TBD) ? Submit weekly lesson plans and materials ? Prepare daily student-centered, discussion-based lesson plans ? Attend staff meetings prior to the start of the Summer Leadership Program and also once weekly during the summer ? Maintain a gradebook which is shared with Head and Assistant Head ? Attend the ATA Family Night one night towards the end of the summer to celebrate and showcase the achievements and growth of the ATA students Qualifications and Experience ? At least 2 years of teaching experience (preferred grade level
Experience:
