Location Boston, MA Project/Unit Description The Architectures (ARCH) Branch in the Command, Control, and Communication Division (C3D) within the Sensor and Electromagnetic Application Laboratory (SEAL) in Smyrna, Georgia is a team of multidisciplinary researchers focused on identifying and delivering critical state-of-the-art tactical airborne communications, networking technology, and electromagnetic application solutions to address a wide array of problem setsARCH researchers possess intimate knowledge of U.

Sadvanced technologiesArchitecture researchers provide application-specific solutions across a diverse sponsor baseJob Purpose The Electronic Systems Architect designs, develops, and deploys integrated hardware, software, and total electronic system solutions for the organizationThis position provides significant technical leadership in the organization through technical team leadership, leading design decisions on major programs, providing recommendations and implementation details about system modules including software, hardware technologies, and deployment requirementsThe Electronic Systems Architect has the ability to independently implement or provide technical leadership to any portion of the design processKey Responsibilitieso Develops system architectures to deploy complex electronic systems.
o Supports all phases of program execution, but primarily invests time in the program design and implementation phase.
o Guides technical vision of domain area and recommends areas for investment in internal research and development, and modernization.
o Provides significant technical impact on sponsor base and trust in community.
o Performs comparative analysis to similar systems, assessing system strengths and weaknesses.
o Utilizes research system theory and design concepts and implementation methods to help in determining system functionality, state of the art, and potential weaknesses.
o Primary Author of technical reports/presentations for projects of high complexity.
o Compiles report input from other researchers and prepares final report deliverable.
o Primary author of pertinent white papers, and competitive proposals, begins to provide technical vision to sponsors.
o Takes ownership of large complex program team development, and mentoring othersRequired Minimum Qualificationso Expertise in RF, radar, or electronic warfare-oriented systems and design.
o Background may include experience in radar design or analysis, electromagnetic simulation and analysis, testing and test planning, and analysis of measurement dataPreferred Qualificationso Active Secret Clearance.
o Systems engineering experience.
