Financial Analyst III, Medicare Coverage Analysis

Position able to work remotely Under the general direction of the Sr.
Director, Office of Clinical Research Finance or designee, the Financial Analyst III will provide day-to-day support and guidance for BCH clinical investigators and clinical research staff when conducting Medicare Coverage Analysis determinations.
The incumbent will prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements according to prescribed guidelines.
The incumbent will also work with all BCH clinical partners, providing support to study team members to ensure electronic medical record clinical research charge review is conducted in accordance with applicable BCH policies and procedures.
This Financial Analyst III, Medicare Coverage Analysis will be responsible for:
Coverage Analyses Responsible for ensuring that all coverage analyses are created in accordance with Medicare's Clinical Trial Policy (NCD 310.
1) Responsible for ensuring that all trials requiring QCT status are documented in OnCore according to institutional guidance Advises research staff/study teams with the interpretation of related guidance, appropriate identification of procedures and their effects on research billing Provides support to clinical research study teams for Epic research billing review Acts as a liaison with CTO and PFS to resolve Epic billing review issues Ensures consistency of the coverage analysis with the protocol, the informed consent form template, the budget, and the contract payment terms Develops review and revise applicable training materials, job aids, SOPs and policies as assigned Acts as educational resource for study team members for clinical procedure pricing, QCT & Coverage Analysis questions Reporting Provides support to ensure that relevant CCTS/OCR metrics are captured accurately and in a timely manner Prepares various financial transactions, reports, and analyses related to the assigned function Develops and prepares a variety of ad-hoc reporting, financial models, and analyses to senior management as requested or as deemed necessary Works with department managers to educate, advise, interpret the relationship of processes to reports; trouble shoot, resolve problems, and reconcile balances, including providing written analyses, explanations, and interpretations of all aspects of financial and budgeting processes In order to qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Business or finance, healthcare administration, or other relevant fields Minimum 4 years of experience in financial and/or academic industry Experience in Clinical Research Operations, medical terminology, HCPCS/CPT, FDA regulations, knowledge of Medicare Coverage decisions Demonstrated record for achieving results while working in a complex, matrixed, and interdisciplinary environment, as well as strong facilitation skills, including meeting management and large group facilitation Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, to build trust, and to create an environment of shared accountability Excellent financial, analytical, and quantitative skills and extensive prior experience in financial management Boston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
