What are we looking for in our Laboratory Support Technician? The Science Team with Pride Healthcare is hiring a Laboratory Support Technician to support our client's healthcare research facility based out of Boston, MA! Job
Responsibilities:
o Understands study protocols and processes specimens accordingly.
o Prepares the workstation with all essential supplies to ensure smooth processing of specimens.
o Receives and verifies identification of specimens according to laboratory policies and procedures.
o Labels specimens according to laboratory policies and procedures.
o Distributes specimens to appropriate lab sections with in specific time frames.
o Centrifuges and aliquots specimens, and follows all special handling instructions.
o Processes, prepares, and stores specimens for send out to reference laboratories.
o Processes random and 24 hour urine specimens.
o Monitors and records daily temperatures and performs scheduled maintenance of equipmento Utilizes technical training and acquires in-depth knowledge of the Sun quest LIS and its functions.
o Performs Sun quest order/entry, inquiry, crediting, and other basic LIS functions.
o Performs patient registration functions in SDK, including information updates, and assigns medical record numbers.
o Ensures current information in the master patient index.
Qualifications:
- One year of specimen processing experience preferredAdditional Information:

30pm 5 days/week Pride Healthcare is unable to offer Visa Sponsorships now or in the future Pride Healthcare is able to offer benefits after 60 days Contract opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion Pay:
