BAY COLONY BOSTON BAY COLONY BOSTON Dorchester, MA Dorchester, MA Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time From $22 an hour From $22 an hour THE PHILLIPS GROUP Armed Security Officers - Bay Colony Boston The ideal candidate will ensure security of The Phillips Group properties, by providing a safe environment to our customers, guests, and employees.
Armed Security Officers will respond to all emergencies to include medical, accidents, alarms, team member assistance and natural disasters.
Armed Security Officers must possess a Massachusetts Licensed To Carry (LTC) Class A, unrestricted.
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiations skills.
Demonstrated ability to be very customer service orientated with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a courteous and professional manner when functioning as a team player.
Must demonstrate an effective ability to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant.
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable merit rating according to Phillips Group Insurance.
Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Perform other duties as requested by Chief of Security and Management.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of these jobs, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of these jobs, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
FT/PT Employees will be eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
