The Design Director Brand Expression for Procter & Gamble NA Grooming will lead Strategy and Visual Identity for the regional North American Gillette initiatives within the P&G Grooming Portfolio.
The Design Director will lead the evolution of our regional NA Brand Identities, Brand Architecture and holistic experiences with focus on packaging, identity and retail design.
As the Design leader within a multi-functional team, you will focus on leading the regional initiatives for the Gillette brand.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading the Visual Identity and Brand Expression for all regional Gillette initiatives with multiple outside agencies (Design firms, Advertising agencies, In-store Agencies, Digital Agencies).
Coordinating and adapting the regional design activities with the Global Gillette Design initiatives to ensure a harmonized and consistent Gillette brand look & feel for NA customers and consumersTranslating deep consumer insights, cultural trends and Grooming trends into meaningful design solutions that meet key business objectives.
Leading Design Sprints with cross-functional teams in order to tackle business challengesBuilding cooperative relationships, passionately leading and championing design with NA customers and cross-functional colleaguesLeading projects from concept creation to design realization.
Job QualificationsEducation:
BA/BFA in Design and a portfolio demonstrating clear design experience (strategy and execution).
You must demonstrate solid hands-on design mastery proven by work executed in market.

years experience in Design, Brand Identity, Packaging and Retail.
Passion:
The ideal candidate needs to have a strong passion for design, trends, and innovation (LEAN, SPRINTS, ETC), and an ability to integrate that knowledge into their work.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with proven experience to effectively bring the design strategy to life while fully understanding the business fundamentals.
High influencing skills are needed to work with business team and gain management support.
Organization:
This candidate must be proactive, have a proven ability to set priorities, be accountable, and navigate project complexities from project conception to completion.
This candidate must also have a good track record with leading and inspiring a team of internal and external creatives.
Your resume and portfolio needs to exhibit how you have achieved great design through your team, your agencies and out the door to the consumers.
Communication and Collaboration:
This position requires a written and a verbal communication style that is clear, concise and effective.
You must be highly collaborative, with proven experience in teaming with, influencing and enrolling multiple functions within the business, as well as other external partners.
Agility:
This role requires the ability to adapt quickly, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Software Expertise:
Software expertise in the latest graphics and business programs:
Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and MS Office Suite.
