Senior Business Analyst, ESM at Foundation Medicine in Boston, MA
About the Job The Senior Business Analyst assists the lead or works independently designing, developing, and implementing IT processes, conducting research, and performing analysis required to build respective modules within the ServiceNow Platform. This position captures business requirements in a form of agile stories and tests configured functionalities end to end as soon as they have been developed. This role is also responsible for providing day-to-day support for the ServiceNow platform and partners with vendors and the Engineering team, as needed, to ensure that business user needs are being met. Key Responsibilities o Captures customers' and service providers' ServiceNow requirements into stories, helps to solution the approach, and manages the overall implementation process in cooperation with developers. o Documents processes and procedures and supports the creation of ServiceNow solution and operations documents (with emphasis on diagraming tools such as Visio or Lucid Charts). o Supports and creates any necessary project documentation that relates to evidencing our requirements in validated/regulated environments. o Designs and executes ServiceNow related training which can include hosting live training sessions and issuing training documentation from Train the Trainer to training support staff. o Assists delivery teams to rectify issues and improve service delivered to the customers on the ServiceNow Platform. o Develops strong business cases and ROI calculations to justify and measure the business value delivered by enhancements on the ServiceNow platform. o Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, automation, optimization, or quality improvements. o Helps negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders, such as clients and internal team members. o Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications o Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field o 5
years of experience as a Business Analyst in a large enterprise environment leading complex projects end to end o 2
year(s) of experience working with ServiceNow Preferred Qualifications o ServiceNow Certified System Admin (preferred) or foundational understanding of platform functionalities (Business Rules, ACLs, Permissions, UI policies) o ITIL v4 certification o Experience documenting requirements, process flows and supporting materials through various formats (such as Visio, LucidChart, MSWord) o Experience working with ServiceNow modules including ITSM and others o Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL framework and ITSM process o Well-versed with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data o Commitment to FMI values:
