Strategic Sourcing Manager at Veolia in Boston, MA

Responsible for identifying, developing and executing cost reduction plans and long term agreements in several assigned spend categories. Manage preferred vendor relationships in assigned spend categories for North America. Must be able to work in a national, multi-business unit matrix organization and support national supplier implementations. Lead and support cross-functional strategic sourcing teams that are accountable for execution and implementation of sourcing strategies. Collaborate with business partners to create and execute category plans utilizing best in class strategic sourcing strategies and methods Lead cross functional team sourcing projects through all key phases such as data collection & analysis, strategy development, RFx, award recommendation, contract negotiation & execution, and implementation Drive continuous improvement in process, price, service, etc. through effective category management Present strategies, project updates, and recommendations to senior leadership guiding the business through the decision making process and securing buy-in with persuasive communication Develop and achieve category specific goals and objectives, including category compliance strategies for sites that have competing priorities Study and track market dynamics to determine impact on cost, quality and risk Manage key supplier relationships and optimize supply base Negotiate contracts and collaborate with legal to establish optimal terms and conditions, pricing and key performance indicators Monitor and report category-specific savings and performance metrics Facilitate quarterly and annual supplier reviews Perform related duties as required JOB REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Education / Experience / Background ? Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field such as:
supply chain, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, science, etc. ? Minimum of 8 years of sourcing or procurement experience (at least 5 in a strategic sourcing role) ? Demonstrated success executing sourcing strategies in relevant categories (specifically IT products and services, Professional services, Temporary labor, Facilities Services etc.) ? Proven subject matter expertise (SME) in at least 1 of the aforementioned categories ? Experience managing complex contract negotiations with minimal assistance ? Consulting background a plus ? 1 year or more of direct people management experience a plus ? MBA a plus Knowledge / Skills / Abilities ? Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders across a large, matrix organization ? Exceptional negotiation skills ? Strong and positive interpersonal skills with a customer-service mentality ? Able to identify and manage projects from concept to implementation and successfully drive results ? Demonstrated proficiency influencing people, problem solving and decision making ? Excellent communication and project management skills ? Advanced analytical, Excel and PowerPoint skills ? Successful sourcing of greater than $20M in spend ? Knowledge and experience using ERP P2P Systems such as Oracle, SAP, J.D. Edwards, etc. ? Knowledge and experience of e-sourcing tools and techniques such as online RFx's and online reverse auctions
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
