About the Job The Associate Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research is a member of the Medical Affairs Leadership team and is responsible for building and executing an economic value development plan for Foundation Medicine. This person works closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, the Payer Policy team, Biopharma team and other cross-functional partners. Key Responsibilities o Develop FMI's economic value evidence generation strategy to advance patient access goals, supporting the Payer Team's HEOR objectives and aligning with FMI's Clinical Development Plans across Lifecycle Teams. o Collaborate with Clinical Development to integrate payer needs into FMI's Clinical Development Plans, such as selecting and/or developing endpoints/Patient-Reported Outcomes; manage HEOR aspects of studies. o Direct research projects to generate, publish, and communicate HEOR evidence to support our payer value story and pricing, reimbursement, and market access. o Present the HEOR plan to internal and external stakeholders, as needed. o Collaborate with Roche and Genentech HEOR teams to identify opportunities for collaboration. o Contribute to the Medical Affairs team strategy, planning and culture as a member of the leadership team. o Develop metrics for internal product performance monitoring, for example tracking actionability or pull-through of FMI testing results over time. o Represent FMI at HEOR industry and academic conferences and build strong collaborative relationships across HEOR professional societies and academic organizations. o Travel up to 20% of the time. o Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications o Masters and/or relevant doctorate (such as PhD, PharmD) in HEOR discipline o 7
years of relevant HEOR industry experience o Specific HEOR experience in diagnostics Preferred Qualifications o Experience in supporting pricing and reimbursement negotiations with payers o Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaboration, and teamwork across functions o Strong understanding of payer environment, both US and globally, including coverage and reimbursement, value drivers, formulary management, HTA, and health policy o Understanding of pharmaceutical product development and/or commercialization o Deep technical expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research and knowledge about Oncology Diagnostics o Proficient leadership, influencing, strategic planning, decision making and problem-solving skills o Proficient HEOR technical skills, including modeling (cost-effectiveness and budget impact), patient-reported outcomes analyses, and conducting real-world outcomes studies (R or Python coding preferred) o Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey strategic and technical Value & Access information/issues to key stakeholders o Sense of urgency and delivery orientation o Effective project management skills o Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data o Commitment to FMI values:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
