Job-Specific Responsibilities The position is responsible for leading the Corporate Learning program delivery team and managing the delivery of the portfolio of corporate learning programs. The position will work closely and communicate regularly with custom clients, program Faculty Directors and leadership across the Office for External Education (OEE), and with other key program stakeholders to ensure all aspects of an exemplary Corporate Learning experience are met. The Associate Director collaborates closely with External Education and HMS colleagues on operational, technology, business development, marketing and finance activities across the enterprise. The Associate Director reports directly to the Senior Director of Corporate Learning and will work closely with the Associate Dean of Executive Education and with other program Faculty Directors. Specific responsibilities include:
o Manages the delivery of all Corporate Learning program activities, including personally managing a portfolio of programs. o Responsible for program staffing, ensuring appropriate management and staff are assigned to support each program's implementation. o Ensures established workflow, work tools, and processes efficiently support program implementation and provide an optimal client experience. o In collaboration with the OEE finance team, develops program budgets, monitors Corporate Learning payments and reviews weekly accounts receivable reports and develops budget forecasts. o Supports the Associate Dean for Executive Education and other Faculty Directors in the development of content and curriculum for new programs. In collaboration with the Associate Dean and Faculty Directors, participates in faculty engagement efforts, including outreach, developing new faculty roles and scopes of work. o Works with the marketing team to identify and resolve HMS branding and Use of Name issues. o Supervises and manages the four person Corporate Learning program delivery team. Defines and communicates performance expectations and workflow processes, delegates assignments, and reviews and refines processes and policies to best support Corporate Learning programming. Gives clear, specific, and timely performance feedback. Fosters and contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment and employee experience. Identifies and supports professional development opportunities for team members according to organizational and individual goals. o Collaborates with faculty and staff in managing customer relationships, including managing client and participant expectations, program scope and ongoing client communications. o Partners with the Educational Technology Media and Design team to identify instructional design, platform and effective online learning requirements for Corporate Learning programs. o Supports Business Development activities, including reviewing proposal drafts and contracts. Typical Core Duties Responsible for effective staff management, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an inclusive and innovative work environment Research and develop program content and materials, analyze program mapping and demand; recommend improvements Lead review and assessment of new program proposals, curriculum, and new format designs Lead development of marketing and sales outreach strategy; foster and maintain relationships with external clients to increase interest and participation in programs Lead program portfolio development which may include recommendation and implementation of enrollment processes, program scheduling, and grading processes; establish administrative workflows Develop strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and external clients associated with the program; manage scope of delivery and regularly inform stakeholders of program related activity and/or decisions Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations for goods and services May manage program budget to achieve financial goals Develop specialized reports and analyze statistics to define and evaluate program success and track and comply with any reporting requirements Lead the strategic direction of program delivery to improve programs and department processes, policies and procedures Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations rules and regulations Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience Additional Qualifications and Skills Prior experience and a strong interest in healthcare or science is preferred. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting Additional Information This Staff role may start as a remote position due to the COVID-19 pandemic and while restrictions are still in place. The current remote nature of this role is considered temporary and may change as the University continues to evaluate options. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
