In this role you will work with strong, nationally recognized, senior technical staff to execute work related to wastewater treatment plant designs and studies, biosolids master plans, biosolids equipment design, wastewater pump station design, and asset management. Project work will be focused in New England with some opportunity to work nationally. Responsibilities include:
Develop and provide process design basis, PFDs, process descriptions, mass and energy balances, process data sheets, and preliminary engineering designs, Engage in process evaluations, optimizations and troubleshooting of existing facilities. Develop design calculations and work with equipment vendors on sizing and selecting equipment Interface with engineering disciplines, project managers and client service managers. Preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda and specifications Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings Manage projects or assist with Project Management Mentor BC's next generation of junior-level engineers to become future leaders in the solids process treatment arena Desired Skills and Experience BS degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related field required; MS degree preferred 5
years of experience including evaluation and selection of conventional and advanced treatment solids processes and ability to research equipment and technologies Professional Registration (P.E) or working towards obtaining P.E. Ability to execute projects and tasks with an interdisciplinary team required Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment Project management skill set or interest in developing project management skill Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Ability to use GIS, CAD, spreadsheets, word processing, preferred Valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to walk slowly around a construction or field site of varying size that may have areas of uneven, muddy, and/or rocky ground or be overgrown with vegetation to perform inspections and take photographs. Ability to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc. Ability to remain alert and vigilant while working around construction equipment, waterways, and field sites and be able to walk swiftly for a short distance to clear an area where a potential hazard is identified Benefits and Other Compensation:
