1K a year Marina Dock Attendant / Dock Hand at Boston Yacht Haven Looking for a fun and exciting seasonal opportunity on Boston Harbor!? We are currently seeking Seasonal Marina Dock Hands available for our boating season May/June through September/October.
At Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina, our guests and our colleagues are the driving force behind everything we do.
As a result, the right person for this job is cheerful, knowledgeable, engaging and courteous towards the customer at all times, providing top-notch customer service while projecting a professional company image through all types of interaction on-and-off-site.
While the primary focus of the dock hand's responsibilities focuses on the guest, safety is of the utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
The dock hand position requires a willingness and ability to assist with any task needed at the marina.
Some of these tasks are as follows:
Treat all guests with first-class customer service.
Perform daily opening and closing job duties, daily dock walks, daily meter readings, grounds maintenance.
Willingness to learn rates and marina policies & procedures.
Contribute towards a healthy, safe, clean, and fun teamwork environment.
Clean restrooms, docks, walkways, sidewalks, trash areas, locker rooms, lounge areas, equipment and all other areas of the property.
Perform daily pump-outs, maintaining equipment sanitation procedures.
Welcome guests by catching boat lines, securing lines to the docks, assisting guests during their vist and upon their departure.
Be punctual, proactive, professional, honest, trustworthy, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
Any and all other duties asked of you by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to use phones, computers, radios and other equipment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays are a must, throughout the summer season.
Faculty to operate small hand held and power tools.
Ability to read and write English.
Must be able to swim.
Some prior relevant experience is a plus, but we do provide full training.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
