Director, Markets Finance

Reporting to the VP Markets Finance and with a dotted line to local market General Managers, the Director, Markets Finance is a key member of the Finance leadership team with primary responsibility for the financial results of CCA's health plan markets.
What You'll Be Doing:

Support the optimization of the financial results of each market and lead the effort in smaller markets.

Support finance related activities for each market's general manager including developing and monitoring progress against the annual budget
Support financial analysis, identification of month end financial drivers, and forecasting including headcount planning to ensure compliance with state requirements
Help to manage medical cost trends and gross margin improvement initiatives
Perform financial impact analysis for new contracts and support negotiations
Review monthly performance and financial results of the business unit and provide recommendations to senior management
Support the local market's contribution to corporate results
Perform duties as a key liaison between Corporate Finance and the local market
Support the financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures
Create pricing models and help drive initiatives to identify inefficiencies and areas of development and improvement
Support and, in some cases, lead new market financial analysis
Work closely with Actuaries in understanding the health plans' gross margin trends and reserving policies
Help direct health plan analytical needs and coordinate reporting strategy
Support management of rate setting activity and coordinate actuaries
Work closely with corporate Financial Planning & Analysis in developing budgets and forecasts and in driving market financial performance
Support VP Market Finance, SVP Finance, CFO, and General Managers in ad-hoc projects
Responsible for Consolidated Performance Reporting

7-10 years of broad and deep experience with health plan financeRequired:

Strong written and oral communication skills, including proven negotiation skills.
Ability to make presentations to Senior Leadership.

Excellent management and leadership skills.

Ability to organize work effectively with strong attention to details.

General understanding of actuarial sciences.

Strong management experience with strong emotional intelligence.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal clients, and a successful track record of collaboration toward achieving objectives
Prior experience building and leading high-performance teams.
