About the JobThe Chief of Staff (CoS), Medical is a strategic partner and thought leader for the Medical organization.
This position is responsible for improving current processes and coordinating organizational procedures to optimize communication, workflows, resource management, efficiency and productivity.
As a member of the Medical Leadership Team, the incumbent collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and the broader MedLT to support strategic alignment and internal and external communications in support of internal alignment and external initiatives.
The CoS, Medical is responsible for streamlining high importance projects and conducting leadership-level internal and external initiatives that have a very significant impact on the company's business objectives.
The CoS serves as a conduit to the Chief Medical Officer and may be asked to represent the CMO during internal planning meetings and preparations for external opportunities.
In addition to serving as a member of the MedLT, the CoS is part of FMI's Senior Leadership Team and works closely with other Chiefs of Staff across FMI to ensure seamless translation of processes into action and bi-directional information sharing (e.
g.
, QBRs).
Key Responsibilities Add structure and process for better communication within Medical as well as across other stakeholder teams.
Ensure activities are running efficiently within and across teams.
Design and execute upon initiatives for cohesion, improved alignment and engagement among teams and departments through synthesis of information and data across the organization.
Set the agendas of Medical Leadership Team (LT) meetings, of related team meetings, and ensure successful preparation and organization of these meetings.
Support the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in preparing annual budget planning for the Medical organization.
Support CMO in providing quarterly business reports to all employees.
Develop and evaluate regular communications from the Office of the CMO.
Function as the point person for the CMO as it relates to managing the annual operating cycle and measuring progress against strategic initiatives.
Serve as liaison between all Medical Team functional leaders to develop unified road maps and joint initiatives for overall step changes in productivity and reliability.
Help to define new operational strategies, working with CMO and executives on special projects pertinent to operations.
Build effective relationships at all levels across the organization, use diplomacy and tact to diffuse conflict and find common ground, and provide direct and actional feedback to others Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
In partnership with CMO, develop dashboards and key performance indicators providing guidance to the Medical Team on strategy and delivery.
Ensure the CMO is adequately supported for key internal and external presentations and engagement opportunities Drive business priorities from start to finish.
Represent Medical as the voice of the CMO and MedLT during key internal meetings.
Travel up to 10% of the time.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 10
years of professional experience in the life science or medical industries 3
years of experience in a Chief of Staff role or equivalent leadership capacity leading and managing strategic initiatives Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree, such as a Master of Business Administration or PMP Certification Management experience Experience working in highly cross-functional teams Deep understanding of business strategy and scientific domain knowledge Demonstrate an understanding of the oncology landscape and where FMI fits in today and in the future to inform Medical priorities of the future Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing operational improvements Previous experience evaluating adoption of new systems and operational workflows among a team of senior leaders and a matrixed organization Experience developing and managing a department budget and partnering with finance staff on monthly financial reconciliation Experience leading and managing strategic initiatives Experience developing organization culture and collaboration with key partners Expert experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating teams Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills with proven cross-functional and multi-level relationship building skills Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, including developing and delivering presentations to senior management and large groups Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate political situations in a complex organization Ability to generate buy-in for ideas and plans and steadfastly push self and others for results Excellent organization and attention to detail An entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with extreme ambiguity and rapidly changing environments Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy Commitment to reflect FMI's values:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
