Position Description:
Applicants are permitted to work remotely from an at home work site.
Must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Maintains a Book of Business of defined contribution products in a retirement and 401K environment.
Manages, educates, and resolves client issues to establish relationships and meet the needs of plan sponsors.
Assists plan sponsors with plan corrections by resolving operational defects and providing plan and participant literature.
Leads discussions and works cross-functionally to build effective investment strategies and develop solutions that benefit clients and the firm.
Sets strategic goals for plans and demonstrates ownership and accountability for client relationships.
Facilitates discussions with clients regarding legal, regulatory, and design issues across plans.
Provides analysis and recommendations to clients on design alternatives by coordinating internal resources.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Verifies client agreements regarding issues and options.
Implements solutions to develop, manage, and maintain strong client relationships.
Acts as trusted advisor for clients.
Consults with clients on qualified and potentially non-qualified plan design alternatives by analyzing client investment architecture.
Differentiates benefits approach against competitive benefits solutions.
Plans and conducts effective in-person and phone meetings with junior team members.
Mentors junior team members.
Plans, influences, and implements solutions to address business needs.
Identifies key drivers and maintains consistent formal/informal contact with key client decision makers.
Facilitates investment review meetings.
Builds and develops strong internal working relationships to support service delivery.
Performs retirement plan record keeping and administration.
Sets strategic direction for client plans.
Education and
Experience:
No degree and six (6) years of experience as a Plan Sponsor Managing Director III (or closely related occupation) performing retirement and 401K plan record keeping administration.
Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Plan Sponsor Managing Director III (or closely related occupation) performing retirement and 401K plan record keeping administration.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience as a Plan Sponsor Managing Director III (or closely related occupation) performing retirement and 401K plan record keeping administration.
Skills and KnowledgeCandidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (DE) collaborating with plan advisors to develop client solutions; identifying and managing at risk situations by proactively reviewing fees; and collaborating to reduce cost and deepen client relationships using multi-vendor pricing model.
DE administrating plans using mainframe recordkeeping platforms; coordinating plans including corrections, resolving operational defects, Client Website navigation, resolving contribution inquiries, and providing plan and participant literature; and resolving plan issues on behalf of clients.
DE providing plan consultations outlining overall design, employee benefits, and multi-product salesHSA, Student Debt, Managed Account, Workplace Giving, Health and Welfare plans, and product/services offerings; building enduring client loyalty by administrating plans and implementing new services; collaborating with employee resource groups to support and promote corporate values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
DE facilitating discussions with clients regarding legal, regulatory, and design issues across plans; consulting with clients and their advisors on qualified and non-qualified plan design alternatives; and establishing the strategic direction for plans and record keeping.
