Patient Care Associate (24hrs, Rotating) White 10- Medical Unit
White 10 is a twenty bed adult inpatient unit.
The unit serves patients from culturally diverse backgrounds and geographic areas that present with acute and complex medical problems.
Patients are generally admitted to our unit from the Emergency Department or as a transfer from one of the intensive care units.
Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
PCA assists multi-disciplinary health care team by assisting patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs.
Schedule Evening (3p-11p) and Nights (11pm-7am) Shifts 24 hours, Part-time, rotating weekends and holidays Benefits include comprehensive medical and retirement, sign-on bonus, and shift differentials.
Certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT at time of hire OR Enrolled in a certification program to become a Nursing Assistant or EMT at time of hire OR Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR Enrolled in a nursing or pre-med undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations complete at time of hire OR Successful completion of the Laboure College PCT program.
