Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction.
This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community.
The role will reside within Investment Management Finance which is a team dedicated to providing support to Morgan Stanley's Investment Management segment (MSIM) a leading global asset manager across the public and private markets.
Members of the Investment Management Finance team can expect to be involved in accounting, finance and process transformation.

> Review SharePoint submissions from business partners, interpret contract language to validate and setup billing groups in CRM system (Argos).
> Create Fixed Income billing distribution tracker and complete quarterly billing distribution process, methods include debiting fees from custodial accounts and email distribution.
Resolve any distribution issues that occur during the process.
> Become thoroughly knowledgeable of the intricacies of the proprietary data warehouse and Broadridge Revport client billing applications in addition to the ETL logic that communicates between the two systems> Responsible for Parametric A/R reporting and work independently on A/R collection efforts while escalating and resolving problems/issues that arise> Execute, review and complete Special Handling invoice distribution assigned to ensure timely payment of invoices, which involves client specific data submissions required for payment> Creation and submission of fee uploads, resolve any fees that fail by working with Operations/Sales teams> Assist cash team in reconciling payments received, identifying invoices for cash application> Assist in fee calculations of over/under billing issues that arise> Assist in monitoring and responding to team email inbox inquiries from internal and external clients, following up to ensure all items are address within time sensitive deadlines, escalating to manager as needed
Qualifications:
You Have:
> Preferred undergraduate degree in accounting with 3
years of relevant finance and accounting experience > Previous Institutional/High Net Worth/Retail Managed Account client billing and accounts receivable experience a plus> Strong computer skills (notably Excel) is a necessity> Experience with Bonaire Revport Fee Billing application a plus> Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, problem solving and analytical skills > Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain excellent communication regarding deliverables> Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with members of the senior management team and others within the CompanyInterested in flexible working opportunities? The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
