The ideal candidate will bring strong business development skills in environmental, health, and safety regulatory permitting and compliance experience, especially within the manufacturing and/or pharma industry.
We are looking for someone with 10
years of industry and/or consulting experience to help grow our business and develop client relationships to proactively address their EHS risks and challenges.
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for representing ERM with new and existing clients in a range of EHS management projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with ERMs global technical team to share best practices across the industry.

Responsibilities:
Support business development and strategic planning to grow implementation of EHS Management Systems, compliance assessments and audits to ensure effective risk control and regulatory compliance.
Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
Perform EHS compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop, manage, and implement environmental management systems and programs for corporate clients.
Manage and develop plans, permits, and procedures for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.
Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the EHS team in the Midwest.
Provide on-site compliance support at client facilities.
Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.
Contribute to expanding ERM's EHS business.
Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
Design and direct corporate EHS strategies and programs and achieve client's expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of technical team.
Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage your skills and solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, or related discipline.
10
years relevant experience in working with organizations on EHS management, leadership/culture, and/or sustainable EHS compliance programs.
5
years experience in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, developing client relationships, growing EHS programs.
Business development/Sales experience required.
Experience maintaining corporate management standards (either as a consultant or an internal compliance officer).
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Be passionate about EHS performance improvement and have substantial experience developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.
Ability to be adaptable, deal with ambiguity, and flexible to changing situations, able to think outside the box, and to identify and respond rapidly to safety issues in field locations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and the ability to communicate effectively.
Willingness to travel in support of client programs.
Up to 50% travel may be required.
Certification in field; CSP, PE, or similar registration highly desirable.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
