Department of Prosthodontics Location Boston, MA Open Date Jan 06, 2023 Description Tufts University of Dental Medicine seeks candidates for the position of Department Chair of Prosthodontics.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Professor or Associate Professor on the tenure or contract track to lead a large, growing, and well-established department with state of the art clinical facilities.
The Department encompasses both predoctoral and postgraduate prosthodontics, the Esthetics and Advanced Operative Dentistry Certificate Program and shared oversight of the Implant Certificate Program.
The Chair should demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
curriculum development and management, managerial abilities with faculty and staff, financial stewardship, clinical and didactic teaching of predoctoral and postgraduate students, leadership, mentoring of student residents and junior faculty, scholarly activities and research, public health/community outreach and communication skills.
The successful candidate will also need to have demonstrated vision with regard to dental education and the field of prosthodontics and have highly developed academic leadership skills and outstanding academic credentials.
Qualifications Requirements include a DDS/DMD degree and an advanced education certificate in prosthodontics from an ADA-accredited school and eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts.
Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is greatly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have an international/national reputation as a scholar with outstanding research accomplishments, effective leadership experience, and a strong conviction fostering inclusion, diversity, and equity.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
