UI Front End Developer

The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is to be the agency of record for Massachusetts health care information, to responsibly steward sensitive and confidential data, and to objectively report reliable and meaningful information about the quality, affordability, utilization, access, and outcomes of the Massachusetts health care system.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and creative Application Development group.
The Junior UI Front-End Developer will be a critical resource on the Data Operations and Technology team.
This successful and driven candidate will create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written functional specifications.
S/he will be part of an exceptional team that will test, modify, and implement application code, make standard modifications to existing software applications as well as new applications in accordance with detailed specifications.
S/he will support the tech lead/architect on technical deliverables and create relevant documents throughout the SDLC.
S/he will also support, maintain and implement enhancements to existing applications while considering the best places for refactoring the legacy code.
S/he will proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
Lastly, the candidate will need to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and work to ensure timely deliverables with high quality.
CHIA has a hybrid work environment, all employees are expected to work in-person at the Center's 501 Boylston Street office, on at least two (2) designated days each week.
This position will remain open until filled.
The anticipated full-time salary range for this UI Front-End Developer is $70,000-$80,000 annually.
Specific duties include:
Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives Responsible for helping to finalize technical requirements, working with Business lines to secure approvals, Performs proper testing as part of SDLC, adhering to Change Management policies, coding standards, procedures and techniques to the technical code base including documentation.

Qualifications:
At least 3 years or more of hands-on Software Development experience.
Experience in client-side scripting with any of the JavaScript frameworks preferably Angular (ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3) and NET development using C# or an equivalent language using the MVC pattern Experience using enterprise level web applications Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in analysis and design using common design patterns Experience writing and consuming REST API utilizing.
Net Core Knowledge of Relational Databases, MS SQL Server Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git and SVN, is a plus Experience with the development methodologies such as Agile Scrum Total Compensation:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
