Now hiring Desktop Support Technicians for work in Boston!Trillium Technical is now seeking Desktop Support Technicians for work in Boston, MA! The Desktop Support Technician's role is to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals.
That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.
The right candidate will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
Responsibilities Strategy & Planning oSupport development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
oPerform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
oInstall, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products to deliver required desktop service levels.
oConstruct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
oCollaborate with Technology team members to ensure efficient operation of the organization's desktop computing environment.
oReceive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or work orders regarding desktop problems.
oEnsure that desktop connections, i.

network jacks are in proper working order.
oPrepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance, then provide performance statistics and reports.
oIf necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
oPerform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
The pay rate is $20 per hour.

or other certification a Plus oKnowledge & Experience oExcellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
oExcellent knowledge of PC internal components.
oHands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
oExtensive equipment support experience.
oWorking technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
oAbility to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
oAble to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation.
