Quality Assurance Engineer
My Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.
They offer an education learning platform for K-12 students by creating a data driven cloud based platform.
The company is located North of Boston, and they are seeking a well seasoned engineer who can be fully remote to help them achieve their mission for student success.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will be collaborating with developers, product owners, UI designers, and others in QA.
In addition, you are comfortable testing on large volumes of data moving between different backend technologies to support both and ETL process and near real-time reporting.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, understands automated and manual testing, and is local to the greater Boston area.
Required Skills & Experience 3
years of relevant experience Experience with Automation testing, with either Selenium or Playwright Familiar with popular Agile framework and have been part of Agile Scrum team(s) Have studied and practiced a variety of test frameworks, techniques, and methodologies, and are familiar with prominent voices in the online testing community Can write SQL to verify data correctness and are knowledgeable of other tools and techniques to help with data intensive testing Will be able to know your heuristics from your oracles and know how to get the defects fixed Can make sense of large volumes of data to identify patterns that might be indicative of problems Have the ability to think playfully about serious matter Will be able to describe defects in sufficient detail for a developer to understand and reproduce, and for business owners to understand user impact Has experience with distributed version control systems Has strong user empathy and a sense of UI aesthetic Values critical thinking, curiosity, creative thinking, and analytical think Interested in metacognition and how it applies to software testing Desired Skills & Experience Experience testing enterprise software managed applications (systems such as Salesforce, Rootstock, Softeon, etc.
) as well as custombuilt applications Experience with CRT Recommended Skills Agile Methodology Analytical Backend Big Data Communication Creativity Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
