We will consider international candidates from STEM-certified (3 year OPT) degree programs and we welcome qualified bootcamp graduates! MentorWorks Education Capital is a workforce development company with a mission to support education and job access, particularly to individuals from low income backgrounds.
We are looking to hire an intern to support both core technology and marketing operations.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of building Fullstack applications in react.
js, node.
js, or similar platforms.
Experience with SQL and/or no-SQL databases will be important.
The intern will be working on building out talent access platform.
The intern will also perform backend work with python microservices accessing various AI-based scripts and APIs using openAI and Google's VertexAI platforms.
In addition, the intern will also support our marketing operations using tools like Zapier, Wordpress, and Hubspot.
Projects will involve rapidly prototyping and developing full-stack technology platforms, updating and maintaining AI-based backends using internal proprietary algorithms.
Required skills:
Fullstack platform development with demonstrated ability to create a full web-app or platform.
Version control and code management through Git HTML and CSS SQL or no-SQL database knowledge Ability to use APIs for integration to apps.
Creating REST APIs for internal apps in Python/Flask.
Additional skills (not required, but we prefer candidates that are open to quickly getting up to speed on these skills).
Experience OpenAI and/or Google Vertex APIs Some understanding of AI/NLP concepts including embeddings and fine-tuning.
Create and maintain Zapier integrations.
Website management through Wordpress Managing Hubspot CRM and marketing tools Preference will be given to candidates that use Github Copilot or other AI-based coding assistants to do their coding.
Professional skills:
We are looking for candidates looking to take initiative and make projects happen! Communication skills and critical thinking will be essential as well as the ability to work independently with limited guidance.
We are open to considering entry-level candidates, but preference would be given to candidates that have done substantive projects.
The internship can be extended beyond the initial period, and successful candidates will be considered for a full-time position.
