Joining our dedicated group of Product Designers, Experience Strategists and Experience Designers focused on consumer experience and supporting our suite of digital products, you will be responsible for leading creative strategy and empowering the team to deliver exceptional user-centered digital experiences centered around centered around retention and member plan experience.
The team is focused on integrating and developing best practices in usability, analytics, accessibility, and cross-platform strategy in an Agile development environment.
As the Associate Director, Experience Design, you will:
Lead a team of Experience and Product Designers, providing guidance to support career development and hone their craft as well as keeping the team engaged and invested in the work.
Manage the design process from end to end to ensure the delivery of human-centered experiences that meet or exceed user needs and deliver business value.
Know the business and how to speak the business' language.
Must be comfortable communicating strategies and recommendations/decisions to senior leadership.
Synthesize consumer insights into actionable design strategies that will deliver measurable results aligned to aligned to member retention.
Serve as a primary CX point of contact for cross-functional partners within your workstream including product, engineering, and analytics.
Lead creative thinking across a range of products, platforms, and devices Partner with other design leaders across the organization to ensure we are delivering seamless, connected experiences across the enterprise.
Build consensus among key stakeholders, always representing the user point of view.
Maintain deep understanding of the digital products within your scope including business objectives, audience(s), roadmaps, research, metrics, VOC, and the competitive landscape - and how it relates to the larger Humana digital ecosystem.
Partner with User Research to maintain a long-term research roadmap to facilitate ongoing discovery and iterative delivery.
Partner with both Product and Engineering to inform the roadmap and streamline ways of working along the product lifecycle.
Champion cohesion and consistency to unite a large suite of digital products while building a culture of curiosity and invention.
Role Essentials Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience 6
years of experience leading & creating experience/design strategy for large scale programs 3
years of management experience demonstrating the ability to effectively lead a design team supporting career development and enabling them to deliver innovative, differentiated experiences Achieved mastery of a core set of design skills in interaction design, information architecture, interface design, and user experience design Proven ability to create a strategic experience vision and deliver on it with the buy in and support of a broader team.
Proven success driving change in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with business leaders and other key partners to drive results.
Must be a clear communicator and active listener with a positive, results-oriented mindset.
Must be comfortable working within an Agile development model.
Role Desirables Prior experience working within health insurance or other highly regulated industries Prior experience designing for native mobile apps.
Prior experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$112,400 - $154,900 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
