The 'owner' of the strategic component of the commercial organization, the GMMA team drives all commercial-level recommendations in partnership with R&D throughout the development and commercialization lifecycle of our products.
Based in the Global Headquarters of Alexion in Boston and reporting to the Neurology TA Lead, the Global gMG Marketing Lead is accountable for driving the strategy and execution of in-line and pre-launch activities for the gMG assets in a highly competitive market.
This individual brings strategic marketing as well as broader commercial experience operating globally, ideally with a proven track record also in gMG, competitive markets and Neurology.
The Global gMG Marketing Lead is a high-profile position with the opportunity to make a significant impact within Alexion, as well as the patients and their caregivers impacted by the rare diseases within our focus.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the gMG Global marketing strategy, partnering with Clinical Development, regions, and countries for success, driving key cross-functional strategic initiatives and providing leadership throughout the global organization.
Global Marketing gMG contact for all Regions and Functions Leading global launches Leading Enterprise-wide competitive readiness, establishing an aligned corporate position and messages.
Co-leading in concert with Global Medical Affairs and the gMG GPT leads, the Rapid Response Team and corresponding enterprise-wide communication strategy as part of competitive readiness excellence Working with regional counterparts to ensure alignment and pull through of competitive strategy and messaging Partnering with Global Medical Affairs, GHEOR, Clinical Development, Scientific Communications in developing an aligned scientific platform and data generation strategy Optimizing the Registry data analysis to advance care and outcomes Providing commercial strategic guidance to functional teams.
To succeed in this role, the PNH Lead has the responsibility for multiple geographies and manages through other managers.
Serving as single point of contact for Global Product Teams (GPTs) for:
gMG GPTs & Value Sub-Teams Establishing and maintaining communication channels and cross-functional collaboration with other VISion functions and beyond Quality and integrity of work is absolutely required.
You will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field Experience in gMG Demonstrated success in competitive markets 10
years' related experience in the biotechnology industry, with multiple roles Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

We would prefer for you to have:
MBA Rare disease and/or biologics experience Complimentary functional experiences such as market research, market access, commercial strategy leader, sales leadership, and/or medical affairs We are seeking an individual with deep commercial expertise of the rare-disease Hematology global marketplace, who is considered expert in this therapeutic area and is experienced in succeeding in competitive markets.
The successful candidate must bring a strong business knowledge to co-ordinate efficiently with other functions and consider the impact of their decisions on the company.
An experienced pharma commercial executive, who brings a mix of strategic marketing and tactical execution experience.
The successful candidate has experience in new product planning, in a global strategic marketing context.
