Remote (East Coast preferred)Job Description The Payer, Medical Science Liaison - Nemolizumab / Biologics is a specialized role responsible for bridging the gap between scientific research, health economics, and real-world patient outcomes.
The Payer, Medical Science Liaison will be dedicated to market access as part of the medical team and will engage with key stakeholders including payers, policymakers, researchers, and influential healthcare providers to ensure that evidence-based economic and clinical data are effectively communicated and incorporated into formulary decision-making processes.
The primary goal is to collaborate with National and Regional payer account directors to provide value to assigned customers through presentation of medical and clinical, as well as health outcomes and economic research data and analysis.
The Payer, Medical Science Liaison will be an expert of managed care and health systems delivery of patient care with high scientific and medical acumen while improving patients health and economic outcomes.
The Payer, Medical Science Liaison will also have a responsibility to cover a defined number of local key opinion leaders in a medical science liaison role as a secondary goal.
Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders collaborating with Galdermas payer account team to engage payers, policymakers, researchers, and influential healthcare access decision makers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams with dedication to managed care, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access Strategy and Evidence Generation, and Clinical Development, to ensure alignment of Health Outcome and Value Based strategies and objectives.
Support development and deliver compelling payer presentations to key stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Health Outcome and Value Based data and its implications for healthcare decision-making.
Act as a scientific expert and resource on health economics, outcomes research, and real-world evidence.
Monitor and interpret relevant health policy and reimbursement landscape to inform strategies and initiatives.
Fulfill local secondary role as medical science liaison with a defined number of key opinion leaders Education and Experience Experience required in engaging Payors, PBMs, GPOs, IDNs across commercial and government accounts.
MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, MSN, or PA, preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of senior health outcomes, liaison or related experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in dermatology or biologics preferred.
Strong knowledge of health economics, outcomes research methodologies, and health policy.
Must be proficient in MS Office; especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint Travel requirements:
ability to travel up to 50% as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and economic concepts to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Ability to strategically plan customer engagements in close partnership with the payer account team.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and influence healthcare decision-making.
Understanding of clinical trial design and statistical analysis methods.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to health economics and outcomes research.
Able to anticipate challenges and create strategies for success.
