Job Description:
The ideal Event Chefs will:
Have banquet, catering and/or restaurant experience Is able to undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food (such as meats, chicken and seafood items) Prepare simple dishes, such as salads, appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts Able to accurately follow recipe cards Be a food safety and sanitation expert Possess a thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques Have experience with food inventory and management Be creative and have diverse plating and food presentation skills REQUIREMENTS:
Have at least three years of cooking experience in a professional setting Must be passionate about food, service and events Have part-time availability Must be reliable, detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic Previous banquet/catering, restaurant or hospitality experience required.
Individuals with chef, cook, grill, prep cook and line cook experience are encouraged to apply.
