We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our well-established Engineering teamThis role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environmentThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, from HVAC and fluid systems to fire life safety systems and energy modelingThis role requires a strategic thinker with a practical mindset, capable of developing and implementing complex mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
1Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, including HVAC, fluid systems, air systems, and heat recovery systems.2Collaborate with the design team to create energy-efficient models for various projects.3Manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.4Develop and implement fire protection and life safety systems, ensuring all designs meet regulatory standards and guidelines.5Prepare detailed schematics for mechanical equipment, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.6Conduct performance evaluations of mechanical systems, making necessary adjustments and modifications to ensure optimal performance.7Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.8Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.9Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and introduce new technologies and methodologies in the workplace.
Qualifications:
1A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldA Master's degree will be considered an advantage.2A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, MEP Engineer, or in a similar role.3Proficiency in using CAD software to design mechanical systems.4Extensive knowledge of HVAC, fluid systems, air systems, and heat recovery systems.5Experience in designing and implementing fire protection and life safety systems.6Excellent understanding of energy modeling techniques.7Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and their integration in the overall design.8Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.9Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers.10Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.11Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.12Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.Interested in hearing more?
