Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Vice President Finance in charge of Financial Planning and Corporate Controlling, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible to oversee and manage the financial planning and analysis function within Veolia North America, including processes and tools optimizations.

The role involves collaborating with cross functional teams, working in a fast paced environment where accuracy and precisions are paramount.

The ultimate goal is to support the company's goals and objectives by providing accurate and timely financial information and insights for decision-making.

Primary Duties/
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate with the various business units the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the organization strategy and goals, including the presentation to Veolia Group executive management.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement in collaboration with the business units finance leaders.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling on various initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide guidance on financial implications of business decisions.
  • Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the company management team or other stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of financial analysts to analyze and interpret financial data, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools and best practices in financial planning and analysis, recommend and implement process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Business or Accounting degree mandatory, a master s in business administration is preferred.
  • 8
    years financial management experience.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Self reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Think critically and analytically.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills in general, particularly Microsoft Office / Google Suite.
  • Good knowledge of SAP Finance systems (S/4 Hana, Analytical Clouds and Consolidation).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • CPA preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office work environment with some national and international business trips.
  • Occasionally working beyond normal business hours to meet deadlines.
