Job DescriptionThe Financial Controller - Construction will be responsible for the following:
Prepare and review financial reports, including project cost analysis and variances,Provide regular financial updates to departments, and senior management,Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
Monitor company, department, and project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement cost control measures to keep the company, departments, and projects on budget.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax regulations, industry standards, and company policies,Collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary,Support the preparation of all the tax returns as required.
Oversee payment processes for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Assist in managing lien releases and payment certificates.
Assist in maintaining Account Receivables and Account Payables Reports and update the department executives on a weekly basis.
Provide oversight of purchasing new and used equipment, tools, and or vehicles.
Maintain record and maintenance of all equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Manage vehicle and equipment fleet including leases, registrations, maintenance, and repairs.
Assist in the preparation of annual insurance renewals to ensure proper coverage and mitigate financial risks.
Work closely with Outside Risk Advisor and Insurance Company on active claims.
Assist in the quarterly forecasts, monitor, and manage department budgets, ensuring they align with the overall financial objectives of the company.

The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Related Field7 - 10
years of Accounting Leadership, preferably in the Construction SectorStrong understanding of construction accounting, project costing, and contract management.
In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisFamiliarity with tax planning, compliance, and financial regulationsExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in financial software including Sage 300/Timberline, Excel and Microsoft Office software preferred,What's on OfferCompetitive Base Salary/Bonus Range:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
