Enterprise Productivity Platform Director, Collaboration Technology End User Technology & Services (EUTS) Full-time, Boston or Springfield (Hybrid) The Opportunity As a valued member of the EUTS Leadership Team & reporting to the Head of Collaboration Strategy, this leader will be the Product Manager for a suite of products while guiding a global team.
This role will be accountable for these products' long-term strategy as it relates to their use and adoption across MassMutual, agile delivery of upgrades and ongoing continuous improvement of operations.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with strong technical knowledge, prior experience in managing complex SaaS platforms, background in running a dev ops-enabled team, along with demonstrated ability to deliver complex programs with engineering & operational excellence.
The Team As part of End User Technology and Services Organization, the Enterprise Productivity Platform Director role will lead the new Enterprise Productivity & Exchange Platform Team which is responsible for productivity of MM employees & field partners by managing and supporting the health and maturity of the core platform of Microsoft 365 tools as well as other foundational productivity technologies such as Exchange and Proofpoint.
The Impact Key Responsibilities include:
Product Strategy (20%) Defining, documenting and sharing broadly the product strategy and goals for the next 1-2 years with all relevant stakeholders and team members.
Developing corresponding roadmaps to support the delivery approach, partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, infrastructure and cloud operations leadership, internal control and business partners on priorities.
Maintain a strong understanding of upcoming features and prepare and educate the enterprise accordingly.
Synthesize feedback from voice of customer initiatives and Service Desk operational metrics into defined action items and strategy.
Decision maker for processes related to development, architecture, tool selection, and global administration activities related to these platforms.
Build a decommissioning strategy for tools as they are sunset.
Execution (50%) Ultimate accountability for quarterly planning outcomes for the portfolio.
Ultimate accountability for delivering on technical risk mitigation and debt reduction initiatives including a full tech stack assessment Instill a product and capability mindset within the organization and across functional teams.
Be the escalation point for scrum masters, project managers & product owners across the organization.
Manage several key supplier relationships, partnering with procurement on timely renewals and contracts.
Team Leadership (30%) Lead the team s transition towards a dev ops-enabled model.
Develop, direct, plan and manage team priorities and resources to minimize delivery risks and optimize alignment with global resources.
Implement engineering and operational excellence best practices for testing, deployment & configuration activities.
Oversees the daily operations of the team under their supervision and the service offering portfolio they are responsible for.
Coach, mentor and provide career guidance for all team members to retain talent and build domain expertise within the team.
The Minimum Qualifications Bachelors in engineering or related degree 8
years of experience working within a technical position focused on implementation of technical solutions.
Previous experience leading or partnering with architecture teams, tech leads, developers, and Scrum Masters in an agile and/or dev ops delivery model.
Data-driven mindset, using quantitative tools and analyzing unstructured feedback to inform the development of solutions.
Excellent analytical data-driven decision making, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
Excellent relationship management skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment and a demonstrated track record of leading and successfully driving change and performance within an IT organizational structure An open and accessible leadership style that leads by example and encourages free exchange of ideas and full discussion of differing points of view.
Self-starter, comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
Ideal QualificationsMaster s degree in information technology or a technology related discipline preferred Proven experience in implementing SaaS products is a plus Previous experience managing large-scale vendors.
Experience in all facets of IT, including Application Teams, Information Security, Business Process Management, Program and Portfolio Management, IT Partner and Supplier Management, IT Architecture Management, Digital Platforms, and IT Infrastructure and Operations What to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team Regular meetings with the operations team.
