Description


The Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate controls and corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop effective root cause analysis and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs on safety procedures, hazard recognition, emergency response protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory permits.
  • Stay abreast of changes in EHS regulations, standards, and industry trends, and ensure timely updates and implementation of necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into planning, design, and implementation of new processes, equipment, and facilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, conduct inspections, and ensure timely reporting and compliance with permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Manage waste disposal, recycling programs, pollution prevention initiatives, and other environmental sustainability efforts.
  • Lead emergency response preparedness efforts and coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on EHS performance, key metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Profile


The ideal Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will have the following
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably in an Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT) and proven experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful EHS programs, managing complex projects, and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EHS management software.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Offer


The successful Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:


  • Base Salary of $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
