Job Description:
- Scientist Neuroscience:
The Neuroscience team is seeking a motivated and technically skilled in-vitro scientist with established immunohistochemistry expertise in Neuroscience to join our Boston-based Exploratory Discovery team. - Candidates will be able to work independently but will also be expected to proactively collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
- Primary responsibilities include execution of immunohistochemistry and histology experiments to support the identification and validation of Client targets to treat CNS diseases including neurodegenerative diseases.
- The candidate will be an active participant in the positive and critical scientific dialogue that is necessary to progress our programs. The responsibilities of the Neuroscience team member include:
- Cryostat and microtome sectioning
- Develop and execute disease relevant immunohistochemistry assays and perform quantitative image analysis
- Contribute to the characterization and validation of experimental therapeutics activity.
- Communicate data clearly and concisely to the appropriate teams and stakeholders.
- Be able to thrive in a team environment.
- Shift Schedule:
Monday Friday, 40hrs./week - Pay Rate:
$20 31/Hour
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree, Master Degree
- 3
years of Industry or Academic Experience - Experience with Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Fluorescent In-Situ Hybridization (FISH/ISH)
- Experience with Cryostat and Microtome
- Preferred:
Experience with automated immunostainers (Ventana), Experience with Quantitative Image Analysis (Ex:
ImageJ, Indica Labs HALO, etc.) - Contract to Start, conversion/extension on performance
