Our Boston client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst!
The Sr. Business Analyst (SBA) will play a lead role in the documentation of requirements and business process flows as part of the DCAMM Tririga Implementation project. SBA will work under the direction of Tririga Project
manager
. The SBA is responsible for developing the solution requirements.
This includes working with the business experts to facilitate, gather, document and track project requirements and scope. The SBA works at the highest level of most phases of information systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future environment.
Duties include: develop technical standards and policies to meet the needs of the customers; ensure systems analysis procedures and practices are identified and implemented; provide leadership in the development of business requirements in support of the Tririga Implementation phases; promote the utilization of technical
services
to resolve business problems; help manage customer expectations; and will provide oversight for several junior business analysts.
This
position
requires someone who can understand both the big picture and detailed requirements and act as the go to person for requirement explanation, questions and issue resolution. The Business Analyst should be able to understand how the requirements map to the technical solution and ensure scope and requirements of projects are met through the implementation.
Project manager will assist with testing as needed writing test plans, test cases, and testing.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project team, business owners, end users, and Subject Matter Experts to gather and document business requirements
Gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g. work sessions and interviews) and facilitates design workshops (Business).
Clarify and elaborate requirements when they are ambiguous, change, or conflict with other business requirements
Review system design approaches to ensure they fully meet the business requirements
Write use cases, business rules, and other artifacts such as swim lane diagrams and activity flow diagrams to effectively articulate and represent business processes, desired outcomes, and requirements
Develop test plan, test cases
Produce key documents, both in written and presentation format.
Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at
executive
and junior levels
Consistent attention to detail
Overall high degree of professionalism

Qualifications:
At least 10
years of IT experience.
At least 3 years of experience as a senior business analyst responsible for managing requirements of large complex projects.
Knowledge of business process analysis and/or re-engineering using various methodologies such as RUP and agile methodologies
Strong knowledge of process flow diagraming techniques such as Swim Lanes, Data Flow Diagrams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate complex business needs into use case models
Ability to develop test plans, test cases
Excellent interpersonal, communications and analysis skills, planning and organizational proficiency and good business judgment.
Familiarity with IT business practices and be able to interface and integrate with IT an functional areas.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of Facilities, Asset Management, Space Management, Real Property Management
Ability to perform related duties, as required
Bachelor's degree with a major in the field of
computer
science, information systems
