Usability Designer

Our client, located in Boston, is looking for an experienced Freelance Usability Designer / Developer to help them with multiple client mobile projects. This role will be approximately 20 - 30 hours a week and a good amount of the work can be done offsite, coming into the office as necessary. The length is approximately 3 months but could be extended for the right candidate or become a direct hire opportunity.

To qualify, you must have solid expertise and be able to work on your own. You will be working directly with clients, designing, building task lists, developing testing from paper prototypes through to functioning mobile apps. Project managing all aspects of usability testing, from recruiting participants to questionnaire design to making recommendations and managing reporting.

In addition, expertise with iOS and Android mobile apps is required, as is experience with modern usability tools (including ability to record on-screen activity and user facial responses). Great oral and written communication skills including the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations, a passion for usability and design excellence, and advanced understanding of methods for designing easy to use interfaces, including user and task analysis, information architecture, interface design, and usability testing is essential.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
