The ICD-10 Program/Project Manager will be an associate within our Strategy & Advisory Practice.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Proven experience in the overall program/ project management of client's ICD-10 readiness, transition and implementation activities related to training (internal staff and providers); communication; clinical documentation, data readiness, IT systems and managed care contracts that is in line with the overall program/ project plan.
Ability to manage the scope, deliverables, timeline and execution of the project plan.
Experience leading diverse teams, such as the critical ICD-10 work plan streams
Specific responsibilities may include developing and managing budgets for ICD-10 readiness activities and implementation expenses; project management of the health plans' communication strategy; assessment of coding and clinical documentation improvement outcomes; determining strategic options; managing the timeline and review of any managed care payer contracts that are impacted by ICD-10; adherence to and monitoring of milestones, tasks and schedules of each assigned team; tracking the status of project deliverables and timelines; scheduling team meetings; and assigning accountabilities.
Project Manager will be accountable for measuring implementation performance.
Engage appropriate stakeholders to drive the creation and achievement of all project milestone deliverables; facilitate review and approval processes with Steering Committees and ICD-10
executive
sponsors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
2-10
years of combined healthcare experience operating in a leadership role within a healthcare organization (payor and/or provider), vendor or consulting company.
Have knowledge of ICD 10 issues, news, and trends as affects multiple areas within an organization along with a special area of interest such as revenue cycle or IT, or finance with experience in how ICD 10 affects that area. Experience providing leadership of large, diverse project teams and working with physicians, nursing, hospital administration or other leadership functions of a healthcare organization.
Must have experience generating/tracking a project plan, communicating with stakeholders and leading subject matter experts.
Ability to travel to various client locations
Education and
Experience:
The successful candidate will have 2
years of experience in the healthcare space with another consulting firm, vendor, or healthcare provider. Bachelor's degree from a four year college or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Health Administration degree is a plus!
