We are in the process of changing the name of our non-profit and also updating our bylaws. Ideally, we are seeking a lawyer or paralegal in Massachusetts or in a neighboring state who has considerable experience with Massachusetts law.
We have created several websites that are web apps to help other nonprofits raise awareness and raise donations for their causes. We came up with several fundraising ideas that people told us were great. Rather than keep them to ourselves, we're going to let all 1.5 million nonprofits in the U.S. use them for a small admin fee to cover our costs, and we'll let all nonprofits helping the poor and all environmental nonprofits use them for free. So your work will truly be meaningful and have a significant impact on helping others.
We need some occasional help with legal advice and/or research. As an example, we currently need help with revising our bylaws and a couple of other matters. We are open to both lawyers and paralegals since much of the work we need done doesn't require a lawyer.
I am seeking a person with advanced, high level legal researching skills. Must be very skilled at using advanced searches to locate hard-to-find information on legal items/issues. Must be highly organized.
If you're interested, please let me know:
1) How much you'd charge per hour.
2) How you rate your knowledge of bylaws and the Massachusetts bylaw requirements on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being basic and 10 being expert.
3) Please provide a resume, LI profile link or a summary of your qualifications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
