We are seeking experienced Software Engineers, to join small independent teams focused on delivering high quality software. Duties & Responsibilities
Work independently and as part of a software development team taking responsibility for solving big challenges.
Great at turning ideas into code, and making that code usable by your teammates, and the company.
Propose and implement technical solutions to problems and deliver to customers.
Collaborate with the team to translate goals into implementations, deliver incrementally.
Understand HMH goals around quality and engineering discipline and participate in code reviews at the team level.
Looks ahead, finds and avoids pitfalls for the team.
Test, analyze data, and improve constantly.

Knowledge & Experience
3
years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
Understand the software development process and how their work contributes to the larger goals.
Experience working with a team on a large project.
We are looking for people who have experience with Java, Node, as well as front-end (HTML/JS) but place the highest value on ability to be productive in a wide range of environments, and learn to be productive quickly, even with unfamiliar tools.

Physical Requirements:
Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
