HR Generalist/Training and Development

Project/Position Introduction OverviewThe Human Resources Generalist and Workforce Trainer role will have the primary responsibility for serving as a strategic partner for managers and supervisors within the call center. He/She will be responsible as well as designing and delivering training programs that will prepare employees for career success within the project. S/he will work closely and collaboratively with the management teams on employee relations, training and development, talent management, recruiting and professional development.
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations:
Develop and recommend solutions to a variety of employee relations issues including managing poor performance, managing conflict, assessing risk and escalating issues when necessary. Partner with managers to advise on performance management concerns, providing coaching and diagnosing problems to determine appropriate level of corrective action. Guide and review corrective action planning, to ensure proper documentation and staff communication are incorporated into performance management Manage difficult conversations and interactions, communicating in a direct, culturally competent, respectful, and non-judgmental manner. Participate in performance counseling and termination discussions with staff and managers. Develop effective tools and resources to assist managers with staff-related concerns, ensuring information is current and recommend changes and/or improvements Maintain a positive, productive work environment by responding to staff members' concerns, proactively addressing issues and advising management on best practices Partner with staff and managers to analyze and respond to inquiries regarding Leave of Absence, Return-to-Work, and temporary or permanent accommodation requests Demonstrate customer service/client orientation, with proven ability to develop knowledge and understanding of the business and empower staff and managers to solve issues Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations to managers and supervisors
Conducts exit interviews for voluntary terminations and assists managers regarding involuntary terminations.
Leads or assists with ad-hoc projects that aim to improve the service to staff and management
Processes yearly merit increases and quarterly bonuses and ensures performance reviews are completed by management correctly and on time.
Training and Development:
Work with management to successfully plan and execute all training and development initiatives, with particular focuses on career development, professionalism, internal policies and procedures, progressive skill refreshment/development, career coaching, resume writing for internal promotions etc. Coordinate logistics for all T&D programs and events to ensure programming, space and material needs are met Make periodic updates to the training curriculums, workshop guides, and training activities. Research and collect supplemental learning materials to enhance learning Support the evaluation of training programs by designing surveys, collecting feedback and proposing program modifications based on trends and workshop observations Cultivate relationships with managers and directors to support the HR department in securing facilitators to deliver trainings Manage the classroom effectively while delivering trainings to maximize employee learning Assist in building and developing a project culture that fosters a high degree of engagement in training and development activities that enrich employees' professional experience. Ensure that all departmental initiatives advance the mission and values of MAXIMUS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Superb employee relations skills, particularly with a predominantly non-exempt workforce Demonstrate advanced communication skills, including clear, concise written and verbal communications and active listening skills Content expertise in English Language Arts and/or behavioral management Strong public speaking skills with the ability to motivate and engage large audiences Proven ability to maintain professionalism and engage others through oral and written communication Exceptional project management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple workflows, meet deadlines and support others in meeting deadlines Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain flexibility in changing environments Strong attention-to-detail with the proven ability to problem-solve, think critically and leverage the right resources when needed Teaching style that is hands-on, interactive, and participatory (not lecture based).
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
BS/BA in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Organizational Development, Workforce Development, or related field
3 4 years' experience as a HR Generalist with training and employee relations experience
Workforce Development experience highly desirable

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
