Junior .NET Software Engineer - Research Applications

POSITION:Software Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Client-facing Research Application Development
REPORTS TO:Manager, Digital & Technology
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Assist in the development, enhancement, and production of new and existing client-facing web-based software, automated reports, and supporting databases.
Responsibilities:1. As part of a 7-9 person team, develop, maintain, and upgrade presentation, data-access, and/or database application tiers for client-facing web applications according to design and/or functional specification.

Technologies: T-SQL, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, XML, JSON, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS
2. Obtain and maintain familiarity (systems, classes, code) with all of CBRE EA's databases and middle-tier applications to contribute ad-hoc programming support and bug fixes.

3. Implement and maintain unit tests for new and existing codebases
Technologies: XUnit, C#/.NET Framework, JavaScript
CURRENT & UPCOMING PROJECTS:CBRE client-facing research application development projects are increasingly executed using an Agile approach. The development team currently supports, enhances, and implements new functionality for applications with stakeholders based in Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, and London.
Currently under development are a set of interactive, analytical widgets: a heat map widget, a motion-chart market comparison widget, and a complex market forecasting widget. Although embeddable in other applications and sites, these widgets will be spotlighted in a recently rebuilt client-facing portal. In the year ahead, the focus will shift toward integrating global commercial real estate research data into this portal and its apps.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
Experience: 2-3 Years, recent graduates encouraged to apply

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
