Project Specialist
Under the direction of the Chief Experience Officer, the Project Specialist will provide project management, improvement consultation services, tools, solutions, training and communications to support the Massachusetts General Hospital and Physician Organization's strategy to improve the patient experience.
The position will require strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and maturity, public presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to extract and interpret data related to patient experience. The ability to manage expectations through the life cycle of a project or engagement will be key to success for this position
Providing general project management support for projects aimed at supporting improvements in the patient experience
Provide consultation and support services to internal customers as part of formal engagements with clinical areas to improve patient experience outcomes over time.
Coordinate production of materials (power point presentations, articles, written resources, etc) for service related best practice implementation and training programs
Provision of training for staff and management as appropriate.
Analysis of and production of patient satisfaction data reports for senior management and internal customers
Coordination of logistics for projects and events
Ongoing maintenance of team web sites and sharepoint sites
Creation of regular communications materials for key constituencies
Creation and administration of on the spot survey tools (e.g. survey monkey)
Serve on MGH committees and taskforces as a service team liaison as needed.
Bachelor's degree.
3 years experience, preferably in a hospital setting required
Project coordination and analytics experience required
Proficiency with Microsoft office functions e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access.
Ability to develop databases for tracking and reporting satisfaction results
Ability to extract, analyze and organize data
Excellent writing ability
Ability to create and deliver public presentations
Excellent organizational and project management ability
Ability to work as part of a team
