Currently we are hiring for the position of Compliance Specialist. The position supports Technology Services, which consists of application teams as well as the enterprise-wide Information Security group. The position will have exposure to senior management level employees throughout the Company.
What you get to do:
Understand and advise business leaders on federal and state data privacy and information security regulations
Maintain a risk and control matrix for applicable state and federal laws as well as client specific contractual obligations
Assist with preparation of monthly and ad hoc compliance reporting on risks and remediation
Perform ongoing legal and regulatory research on data security, mortgage servicing and origination, and other state and federal regulations that potentially impact the company's technology products and services
Provide subject matter expertise in data privacy and cybersecurity best practices
Identify and develop testing calendar for critical regulatory and contractual risks
Analyze legal and regulatory requirements at the state and federal level
Manage special projects as necessary
What about you:
Develop knowledge base of applicable laws and regulations related to data security and real estate industries
Proactively and effectively identify risks and monitor remediation
Develop effective working relationships with operational teams and Law Department
Four year degree from an accredited college or university is required
Experience working in compliance management, information security, or cybersecurity
JD preferred, or significant experience researching, reviewing and analyzing federal and state regulations, preferably in a technology related capacity
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required
Ability to manage simultaneous large-scale projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances
Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment

Understand the compliance reporting requirements and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting
Coordinate with the Technology business units to develop and present proposal for InfoSec COC scorecard and COC reporting
Successfully prepare and deliver an approved Applicable Law Matrix (with risks and controls) for Information Security
Complete contractual control matrices for at least one Technology BU

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
