Job Description
Serve as manager of a global team with representatives in Stamford, Boston and London whose primary responsibilities are to perform oversight and due diligence of the firm's sub-advisor and OCIO(Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) businesses . This role serves as the primary contact for internal business partners including compliance, legal, risk and portfolio management.
The team of five has responsibility of over 100 managers with primary concentration in North America but growing international presence.
Additional responsibilities include leading the sub-advisor oversight committee. Activities include setting agendas, coordinating the oversight program, developing a risk assessment/measurement reporting and manage interactions with sub-advisors.
The role reports into the head of Global Funds Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required/Masters of CFA designation preferred.
20 years of financial experience with background in Asset Management
Strong knowledge of Investment Company Act and Investment Advisor's Act of 1940.
Regulatory, Auditing and /or Consulting background
Strong understanding of the operations, practices and processes various types of fund structures including long-only, hedged, alternative and private equity funds, including:
portfolio management, trading practices, disclosures, fund treasury and accounting matters, valuation, transfer agent, distribution and custodial practices.
Strong ability to identify, communicate, influence and negotiate issues.
Demonstrate leadership as a key resource of a high performing organization.
Deep appreciation and understanding for governance, board interactions and engagement.
